WHITE WEDNESDAY PILLOW TALK

Welcome to another wonderful White Wednesday hosted by Kathleen over at
Faded Charm.
This week I was going to show you what I am working on for this month's show...BUT a couple of days ago I was, as usual, running around doing twenty things at one, when I realized that I was sick to my stomach from taking my vitamins and not eating. So naturally I sat down and ate a wonderful complete healthy breakfast...NOT..Instead I grabbed a couple of crackers and continued my madness.
All of the sudden I realized I couldn't breathe! A cracker had lodged in my windpipe. I thought, don't panic, Gale, just cough and you'll be fine. After many attempts to cough the cracker piece up, I soon realized I was in trouble!! Thank the Lord my husband, son and nephew were all in the house. My nephew has had Navy Seal training and so he preformed the Heimlich on me. He got me to cough the cracker piece up after three tries ( a very very tiny piece)..BUT in the procedure broke my left rib! The pain is quite unbelievable, but I will take this over the alternative any day. SO, like a "good girl" I am resting and not lifting anything heavy, or house cleaning or vacuuming (sigh, wink wink) Which brings me to White Wednesday...I have had to try and fill my days doing something, as it so hard for me to just sit. I decided I always wanted to start a line of Tatter Elegant Wizard of Was pillows...So...here are a couple that I have made over the past few days. They are a light weight linen in neutral colors with tattered edging. I will put them in the next show to see the response. If they do well I will look into expanding into a line. Oh, by the way, the fabric is all recycled fabric ei. curtains, tablecloths, etc. So we'll see....
Have a great WW and do check out all of the other great sites that are participating in White Wednesday! I appreciate and look forward to your comments!

GALE!!! I think that the two of us need to take a vacation soon! I'm so glad someone was home with you. I do the same thing frequently, but I "breath" in whatever I'm eating. no fun either. Can you take something for the pain, or are you toughing it? I am so sorry, honey. Your brain just can't set still, can it? I love your pillows and the edges are so wonderful. I think you have a great concept here. Take it easy though. OK?
Hugs, (but not to tight)

Ooh Gale! I am so sorry about your ribs. But it's a good thing...in a way...because now you HAVE to get some rest.
But way to go girl on these super chic pillows! I love the tattered edges! And the super long lumbar style neckroll is just heavenly.
I too have been in a pillow frenzy...kind of fun huh?
Have a wonderful week...enjoy your down time...dj

Good grief girlie...I can't leave you alone for a week that you don't go and get yourself in trouble! Are you supposed to be sewing? I gotta say I love the results of your forced situponess. I think the pillows are wonderful and should be included in your next sale! Missed you while I was away!

Oh la la such pretty pillows. You are a very talented seamtress. I always wanted to sew like my mother. She could make a grain sack look good. Maybe one day her talent will be passed on to me. Great job girlie!

Man that was a scary ordeal, I bet. I sure hope that rib heals soon, but I am so glad you weren't home alone!
I love the pillows!!! So awesome that they are made from old linens and things. They will be a
hit for sure! There you are sewing away with a broken rib...these should be collector's items.

June
