I drove to my daughter’s home in Arizona once again….this is the sunrise on Friday morning..Arizona sunrises and sunsets are by far the most magnificent! This time I was going for my grand daughter, Holly’s 9th birthday. It was to be a fast trip…Friday through Sunday…so shopping was to limited. My husband came down with a bad cold so I decided to drive by myself ….time alone to think and rejuvenate.
So this is what happened….
Yeow-Za, I did it again! Well, when you find so many great things and your shopping time is limited…you have to go for the gusto, right? I again had to rent a trailer, but that’s okay cause I think I picked up some fun things…
A sweet vanity
This is an awesome hutch made in France. The doors to the top are amazing. It needs some work, so I’ll be showing you the “after” pictures soon!
A fireplace mantel
A lingerie chest and enameled-topped table…I don’t usually buy the tables like this, but when it’s close to free, why not!
This is a chaise from a cruise ship..swwweet!
I love this old street sign…. Cross & Willow St. from Missouri!
Metal drawer file and industrial stool.. And a wonderful old watercolor.
Old iron gate
A pair of antlers, wonderful Lavender from my favorite hobby store..And an iron planter/basket
And my most favorite, favorite thing…this sweet cherub. When I purchased it, the gentleman thought it was concrete…well, sweet surprise…it’s lead ( I believe)… Can I just say… HEAVY!
A pair of European shutters
A chippy ol’ concrete planter
A pair of old andirons
Here’s an old saxophone that got run over by a steam roller!!…not sure what I’m going to do with it, but thought it was different and cool.
And here I am Sunday evening driving back (with a cold.. boo hoo) to California….A fast trip but had fun with the family and celebrated Holly’s 9th birthday on Saturday at Dave and Buster’s!
Hope you are all finding your treasures and staying warm these cold winter days.
Gale

No matter where we go, we absolutely cannot pass up the junk shops!
I'm glad you had a nice visit and made it for the birthday party.
But girl, are you sure you didn't rent a tractor trailer? I can't believe that it all fit in that small uhaul. What a bunch of great loot. I love that chaise from the cruise ship. I love it all!

Looks like you have a treasure full of goodies for the next barn sale. I can't wait I like the cherub, and the cement planter. I have a special place for them in my garden. For such treasures.. Have a great day. JULIAN
