For months I have been thinking about starting a blog...well I decided to take the plunge! Bare with me while I get the hang of this blogging!
Here are a few pictures of the April show at Matildasmouse.com. For all of you who may not know anything about Matilda's Mouse, I'll explain:
Matilda's is antique shop in Valley Center, California. It is inside and 1880's barn on the property that was owned by "Betty Crocker". She actually did her radio remotes from the Victorian house that also sits on the beautiful 9 acre estate. Once a month the barn is opened for a three day event. It is filled to the brim with wonderful antiques and treasures from all over the United States! After each event the barn is complety re-merchandised for the next month's show and the very talented girls of this shop, go hunting all over the U.S.A. to bring the customers of Matilda's the most unique and well priced treasures ever! Our customers are the best ! They actually start lining up the day of the sale outside the barn for quite sometime before the doors open at 10:00 a.m. When the doors do finally open there is quite the "feeding frinzy"....but that's okay, cause that must mean that we all are doing something right!
I for one, feel so blessed to be part of such a wonderful well orchestrated business and in today's economy do not take it for granted for one moment! So, if you live in the North San Diego area or plan to visit here, please go to Matilda's web site (Matildasmouse.com ) and sign up to be placed on the invitation emailing list. A couple of weeks before each sale you'll receive an email telling you when the sale is, where we have traveled, and what the theme for the month is.
